Eoin Larkin

Eoin Larkin (born 17 July 1984) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny senior team.
Born in Kilkenny, Larkin first excelled at hurling during his schooling at St. Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2005 league. Larkin immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen, and has won eight All-Ireland medals, nine Leinster medals and six National League medals. The All-Ireland-winning captain in 2012, he has been an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.
As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Larkin has won four Railway Cup medals. At club level he is a one-time All-Ireland medallist with James Stephens. In addition to this he has also won a combined total of four championship medals as a dual player.
Larkin is widely regarded as one Kilkenny's key forwards. In 2008 he won the first of two consecutive All-Star awards, while he also made a clean sweep of all the top individual awards, winning the All-Star, Texaco and GPA Hurler of the Year awards.
